What is Ojibway like?
The Great North Woods with service. Ojibway offers a warm,
easy atmosphere. Our staff understands that if you come this far
for a North Woods vacation, you're probably trying to get away from
the hustle and bustle of civilization. Just because you are staying
deep in the Canadian forest is no reason to give up such comforts
as daily cabin service, superb meals, cabins with complete inside
baths and propane lights. You won't find electricity or phones at
Ojibway, we feel they would only tarnish the peace and quiet of
the North Woods. You will find you won't miss them at all. We do
maintain regular radio communication with the boat and plane services,
as well as the Temagami Lakes Association.

Double Rainbow to the East
|
The Canadian North Woods is a unique place.
Few people every really find it.
Ojibway of Keewaydin is located on an island in Lake Temagami
an unspoiled lake with 3,000 miles of shoreline and 1,500 islands.
Imagine a wilderness shielded by ancient granite and dense with
giant northern white and red pine, birch and cedar. Loons call from
the lake. Blueberries and ferns are at your feet. There are no roads
to Ojibway, transportation to the island
is by boat or float plane. When you arrive, you will be struck by
the enormous silence of the magnificent forest.
